Context
This project envisions the ground floor of a premium boutique hotel, encompassing the main entrance, elevator hall, lounge area, and a central open-air courtyard. The architectural foundation is strictly neoclassical, characterized by high vaulted ceilings, symmetrical tall arches, and extensive use of natural stone. The goal was to design a space that feels simultaneously monumental and welcoming.

The Challenge
The primary design challenge in classical, large-scale spaces is avoiding a cold, "museum-like" atmosphere. Extensive use of marble flooring and stone walls can easily make an interior feel sterile. Furthermore, as a solo project, it required managing the entire pipeline—from spatial planning and custom furniture selection to precise lighting setups that bridge the interior with the exterior courtyard.

The Solution & Impact
To balance the monumental architecture, I introduced a warm, highly tactile material palette. The visual anchor of the entrance is a sculptural reception desk crafted from striking red marble, providing a bold contrast to the neutral stone backdrop.
The lighting strategy relies on soft, diffused natural daylight that pours through the large arched windows, highlighting the rich textures of green and beige velvet seating, warm wood panels, and brushed brass chandeliers. The transition from the grand indoor lounge to the symmetrical outdoor courtyard — centered around an elegant stone fountain — was designed to offer guests a continuous flow of serene, refined luxury. Every element, from the layout to the final styling, was meticulously crafted to demonstrate a complete vision of modern high-end hospitality.
