Context
Two sculptural buildings on Wellington's harbour edge - retail and cafés at street level, apartments above, with the marina and waterfront promenade at the doorstep. The architectural massing was provided as a base; my work was everything that brings it to life: site, surroundings, materials, lighting, population, texturing, render, and the story the images tell.

The Challenge
The lighting had to be physically accurate for the real site, and the honest sun path left the façade flat at most angles. After studying the location's true solar conditions, I found the single moment that delivered both authenticity and raking side light with real depth.

The Solution & Impact
I built the world around the massing: a coastal-climate landscape planted true to Wellington (Pohutukawa and harbour-appropriate species), a copper-toned panels under cascading greenery, crisp white façades opening to the water. The ground floor mattered most - I staged the retail street as a living scene, with small human moments that make the buildings read as an inhabited place, not just a form.
