Lotte Hotel St. Petersburg is a five-star luxury hotel located in a historic mansion on St. Isaac’s Square in the heart of Saint Petersburg. The hotel offers 150 guest rooms and is part of The Leading Hotels of the World association. It became the second hotel of the South Korean luxury chain Lotte Hotels & Resorts to open in Russia.

During the construction phase, I worked as an architect at PROstyle, a subcontractor involved in the project’s realization. Our scope included the spa center on the -1 level (Mandara Spa), the club lounge and public restrooms on the 1st floor, as well as guest rooms on the 4th and 5th floors — a total of 77 rooms out of 150 — and the staircase on the 5th level.
The project required exceptionally high execution precision due to the extensive use of custom architectural elements, including wooden wall panels, sliding wooden doors, built-in furniture, and bespoke interior details. Many of these components were manufactured in Turkey by MOBI, a high-end furniture company founded in 1983 in Bursa, and then transported to Russia for on-site assembly by local teams.

My role focused on architectural site supervision and close coordination between design intent and construction reality. I was responsible for on-site measurements, verification of construction tolerances, coordination with contractors and manufacturers, and ensuring that all elements were produced and installed strictly according to the approved design. Any deviation in geometry or dimensions could have compromised the overall concept, making continuous control and timely adjustments essential.

Throughout the construction phase, I successfully managed my scope of responsibility, ensuring precise alignment between design intent, on-site execution, and international manufacturing workflows. Despite the high level of complexity, tight tolerances, and a multi-country production chain, all controlled areas were delivered in full compliance with the project requirements.

The hotel was officially opened in 2017 and has since received numerous prestigious international awards, earning recognition among travelers and industry professionals worldwide as a benchmark of premium hospitality architecture.
